Fever Blown Out By Liberty 104-68 In Commissioner's Cup Play
The second game of a back-to-back wasn't kind to the Indiana Fever. Christie Sides's group lost 104-68 to the New York Liberty on Sunday night.
Saturday afternoon's performance on defense couldn't be replicated in the Big Apple. The Liberty broke the 80-point mark by the end of the third quarter as five New York players scored in double figures.
Meanwhile, only two Fever players met that same mark. Kelsey Mitchell and NaLyssa Smith added 21 and 17 points, respectively, but couldn't keep up with New York. Caitlin Clark (ear) and Aliyah Boston (ankle) both left the game late with injuries.
The Fever (2-9), who have played more games than any other WNBA team up to this point in the season, don't play again until Friday. They visit the Washington Mystics at 7:30 p.M. On June 7th.
