Last week, a 30-year-old man, who was about to collapse on the streets of Mumbai, was brought to the emergency ward of the city's Masina Hospital by his friends. His complexion had paled, he wore a discombobulated look and reported low blood pressure. Upon a close examination, consulting chest physician Dr Sulaiman Ladhani found that the man was dehydrated and suffering from heat exhaustion.
